Ramadan is the holy month for Muslims. This year, Ramadan starts from May 16th, ends on June 14. During this month, Muslims will do fasting. Fasting is very important for Muslims and they need to stop eating, drinking, smoking and other bad activities from dawn to sunset. With fasting, Muslims can devote themselves to their faith and come closer to their God – Allah.

“I’m currently in Delhi, India. I’m a student, so I stay here alone. This month is my favorite! We wake up very early and have Sehri. After that, we can’t eat or drink anything. Not even water. Yes, not even water! We offer prayers and recite Qur’an in the day. Finally, in the evening, the time to break our fast comes. This month is so full of happiness. The spiritual rewards (sawaab) for fasting and offering prayer are multiplied in this month. And at the end of the month, we have our most popular and the biggest festival – Eid! ❤ “
