Do you observe an obvious fact that you’re being surrounded by an increasing number of working moms and female entrepreneurs? It’s been a fact that it’s getting easier for women to start a business than before due to the wide applications of online communication.
A talk with 50 female business owners (also Dingtone users)
A new survey commissioned by Dingtone highlights the importance of a dedicated phone number for working moms and female small business owners.
Dingtone, the revolutionary phone service app, announced today the results of a survey and insights of interviews with more than 50 female Dingtone users on their experience as working moms and small business owners.
Some of the key findings from the survey include stories and statistics indicating that women are increasingly making use of digital technology to lower the threshold in the workplace. 86% of respondents said tools and resources were invaluably important for them in getting their businesses off the ground or taking their business to the next level.
The right tool shines everything.
Starting a business is challenging. And juggling business processes and childcare responsibility is a constant struggle. Easy-to-use and cheap online tools on the market provide increased opportunities for working moms to jump-start the process of launching a business. For example, a Dingtone phone number has been found to be used to build connections with customers, which truly helps reduce business running costs (that’s especially important for small business owners).
Results also identified that women and moms have to walk a fine line when it comes to flexibility with work-life balance, particularly in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic when many were working from home.
Another group of Dingtone users mentioned above lies in influencers. Working as an influencer calls for higher visibility. Dingtone is used by influencers to work together with brand representatives remotely discussing back and forth for content creation and promotion, and the Dingtone number for specific business domains helps them sound professional and smoothly build up profiles in the industry.
Additional findings of the survey and interviews include:
- 72% of the respondents chose to describe the flexibility of working time and workplaces as a bittersweet symphony for working moms. While flexible, remote jobs enable them to stay in the workforce, working moms have to deal with the challenges of multi-tasks and mental health.
- Women and moms are fitting into the small business economic engine. 45% of women surveyed became self-employed or started small businesses from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Female business owners are overall open-minded about emerging trends in the workplace. 65% of the respondents said they are willing to accept remote or hybrid workplaces.
Dingtone’s phone number service has seen rapid growth in the past two years and we have found a correlation between the demand for second phone numbers for businesses and the growing number of female users who are self-employed or work as SME owners. We are honored to serve as a supportive and reliable partner to encourage the growing female entrepreneurship.
The survey is part of Dingtone’s initiative to support and empower females and female-owned businesses worldwide. Earlier in the month, the company launched its #WomenWithWeapons campaign, raising awareness about privacy protection and equipping women with tools and skills for professional development and leadership roles.
Dingtone is committed to continuing to support female-owned businesses by providing free and affordable phone services, rewards, and tips for female business owners.
